The best crops in farmville to plan depends on you goal. Are you looking for coins, XP, or both. What crop you pland also depends on when you are going to be at you computer. If you grow a crop that is ready in 4 hours but you do not come back to play farmville for 8 hours, you will find a field of withered crops that is worth nothing when you return. Crops seem to wither in about the same time as they ripen.
Farmville Coins and Farmville Cash
Early on you should plant strawberries, strawberries, and strawberries. They will give you the most coins/hr. You will also gain experience points each time you harvest and plow for the next crop.
Raspberries will get XP even though there is no XP for planting
Raspberries are a deceiving crop in farmville. When you look in the market it says 0 XP however you can make both coins and XP fast in farmville with raspberries. While you don't get experience points for planting raspberries, if you keep planting them you do get XP because you can plow every 2 hours (you get 1XP per plow) so in eight hours you will get 4 experience points per plot. Here is an example over eight hours

Keep in mind, if you are not going to be in front of your computer every two hours you should pick an 8 hr, 12 hr, 1 day or more crop.
Farmville Crop Table
This farmville crop table is more accurate than other tables you will find on the web for several reasons. The first thing you may notice about the table below is that the experience points are higher then what you see in farmville. Every farmville crop in this table is shown with one experience point higher because you get an experience point every time you plow. This gives you a more accurate XP/hr rate.
This chart also uses the 23 hour day. Yes, a day is 23 hours long in farmville. This means a crop that has a ready in 2 days is ready in 46 hours rather than 48.
I want to harvest in ___ Hours. This really makes it easy. If you are coming back to harvest in 4 hours you don't want to plant 8 hour crops. If you are coming back to harvest in 18 hours you don't want to plant anything that ripens in less than 9 hours. Be careful with crops that are right on the edge. If you are coming back in 8 hours you will see 4 hour crops. Make sure you are back in time because they will start withering. Better to come back in 7 hours and 45 min to be safe.

Choosing the crop to grow in farmville depends on the goal. If your goal is to maximize cash per hour you should sort the table above by coins/hr and choose the top crop that is available at the level you are playing. On the other hand, it is important to level up in farmville so you may have a goal to maximize experience points/hr.
Don't let you crops wither.
Strawberries are a 4 hour farmville crop and I came back about 10 hours later. They were withered. I lost all that revenue and then I had to plow up the withered crops.
The amount of time farmville crops are guaranteed to stay ripe is still equal to the growth time. After that they begin to wither at a random rate. This means, if you plant a crop that takes four hours to grow, it will still stay ripe up to eight hours and then patch by patch you farmville crops will wither.
After the time your crops are guaranteed to stay ripe, they now have a variable cushion of time up to half the time it takes to wither. However during this cushion time, crops will wither randomly at different times.
Tomatoes are a profitable farmville crop that take 8 hours to ripen. That makes them a great crop to plant in the morning before you go to work. When you get home in 8 to 12 hours you will have a nice field of ripe tomatoes to harvest at $173 per plot. Later when you get sugar cane that is the best 8 hr crop.
Sugar Cane is Sweet but Blackberries may be sweeter
Sugar cane is the most profitable crop in all of Farmville at 7.38 coins/hr but you only get 0.25 xp/hr. With blackberries you get a very close 6.75 coins/hr but you get 0.50 XP per hour. It depends what you goal is, gaining coins or XP.
Farmville Crop Mastery
This is a big topic so I devoted a page to crop mastery.
The key to making money on FarmVille is to keep track of what produces the fastest and at the same time costs the least amount of money. This is not about making your farm attractive but to make your farm profitable. For example, strawberries sell for 35 coins per plot of land harvested and they take 4 hours to grow. Pumpkins, on the other hand, take 8 hours to grow and sell for 68 coins per plot of land harvested. This is also going to come down to time management for example when life gets in the way of making money on FarmVille plant the Pumpkin if you know your going to be gone for eight hours as the last thing you want is your crop to rot which will cost you a ton of money.
Everyone wants the cheat for FarmVille ribbon but in the end there is no magic sequence of buttons just a few techniques that will work. The first thing to do is focus on a single ribbon at a time the good thing is while your focused on the single ribbon you will still be gaining on the requirements for other ribbons. Make sure you know what is the requirements for the ribbons, received too many emails by people asking how to get a ribbon when the information is available at the lower right corner of the screen. Neighbors are the key to getting ribbons very quickly so do what you can do to get as many as possible or check out FarmVille Champ for an amazing way to explode your neighbor population
It is nice to see you here at Facebook FarmVille Cheats, Tips and Strategy where I hope to welcome you to the addictive world of FarmVille farming. This specific Squidoo lens will show you a brief introductory video to Facebook FarmVille, a couple of...
FarmVille cheats and tricks are available online but many of them do not work. You can gain experience by simply playing the game, and you do not have to download any additional programs in order to cheat FarmVille. Farming is all about hard work and you do have to put some elbow grease into it if you wish to have the best and biggest farm on Facebook. I have found these FarmVille cheats and tested them on my own. Although I enjoy playing the game fairly, I like to test out a new method in order to help someone else out.
FarmVille Experience Level Points Cheat That Works
When you are playing FarmVille sometimes you will run into the problem of having a lot of money but not available land to plant more seeds order to get experience points. This cheat is useful when you are also very close to a higher experience level but have no plots available to plow or harvest for points. You do need some money saved up in order to use this trick, so do not buy decorations or spend FarmVille coins on things that will not gain experience points.
To get started you will need 10 plots that are empty or need to be plowed. Calculate how much money you will need to plant what you really want to harvest, such as watermelons that take 4 days to harvest but sell for 348 FarmVille coins. You will not planting watermelons right away in these plots so be patient, reserve 1300 FarmVille coins for seeds planting and 150 coins for plowing those future watermelon plots.
To start this FarmVille cheat that really works, plow your 10 plots and buy soybeans. It will cost 150 coins to plow and 150 coins to plant soybeans, but delete those plot using the shovel tool immediately after seeds have been planted.
Now you might wonder why you should delete FarmVille plots in order to gain experience level points, but plowing and planting soybeans will gain you 30 points on those 10 plots. You can repeat this cheat process, each time it will cost 300 FarmVille coins in order plow and plant, then delete using the shovel. You will see your FarmVille experiences quickly rising and coming closer to the next level where your ultimate goal is. After you have accumulated all the wanted experiences and gained a new level, you can plant the exact seeds that you wanted to buy. Experience level FarmVille cheat can be done as quickly as you can plow, plant and delete. You can even expedite the process by using your harvester, tractor and seeder if you already have them.
The best FarmVille cheat that will get you free coins is sending multiple gifts from one Facebook account. You can ask a friend or a family member that is already playing FarmVille to help you out with this. Return the favor by sending multiple gifts to them on FarmVille using the same trick. In order to use this trick to get more coins fast you will need to use FireFox instead of Internet Explorer.
Login to Facebook and go to Farmville, then click on Free Gifts. Instead of selecting and sending the item right away, right click on the button Free Gifts and select “Open in new window”. Continue doing so until you have several windows opened. I have tested this FarmVille trick with up to 10 windows opened at the same time. Do it late at night or early in the morning, when Facebook is less busy and you will not get error messages in the browser.
On each window, select gifts and you can select a different gift to give in each browser. Then select your FarmVille friends. Again you can select different users in each browser to send gifts to using this cheat. Continue to the window of confirming to Send free gift to FarmVille friends. Click on confirm and Send button one after one, and each window will send out that gift. This trick is also called unlimited gift cheat, as you can open up as many windows as your computer can handle as long as they are opened at the same time, and confirmation is done once all of the opened windows are at the confirm to send option.
Building the best and biggest farm of FarmVille takes hard work, and planting, harvesting and plowing multiple times a day. That is the best way to gain the most out of FarmVille and is not even a cheat, it’s more of a helpful hint. FarmVille requires doing a little math in order to harvest in a timely manner.
FarmVille gives you a set amount of time until your crops can be harvested. If pumpkins take 8 hours to grow, you have an additional 8 hours to harvest that crop after it has finished growing. When planting, add the same amount of time it takes to grow to the time it takes to harvest and that is how long you have until the crop goes bad. I do not plant raspberries, they give you no experience points but can help get ribbons. I have only planted and harvested raspberries once on FarmVille, since that was all that “Green Thumb” ribbon required.
If you want to build your Farmville Farm to its fullest potential, you will have to really focus on experience. Experience points need to be supplemented and synergystically combined with other activities. For example making improvements to your farm is a great way to gain experience points as well as putting up decorations or structures. Always be aware of how much experience points each activity brings to maximize your yield.
You should also take experience points into consideration when deciding which crops to plant. Crops that take less than a day to grow only yield 1 experience point, while crops that take longer yield 2. That doesn’t mean you only want to plant crops that offer 2 experience points however. If you can get back and harvest them as soon as they’re ready, crops like strawberries will get you more than 2 experience points a day because you can harvest them every 4 hours.
Experience points also need to be taken into account when deciding which crops to plant. The amount of time it takes for crops to grow/harvest is important in deciding which to plant. Just because a crop pays more experience points doesn’t mean its worth planting if it takes too long to grow. Many crops like strawberries that can harvested readily can earn you tons of experience points because of how quickly they grow.
You have to be on top of your harvesting and planting cycles in order to make progress this way though. Putting up buildings on your farm remains the best way to get big boosts in your experience quickly. Save up your cash for those, and you’ll be well on your way to unlocking all of the available items in FarmVille.
